Mechanical Harvesting

Mechanical Harvesting Equipment Operator and Powerline Right-of-Way Clearing Training was delivered at a remote camp over 6 weeks. This training provided certification in Safety and Heavy Equiptment Operation, and was specifically designed to prepare participants for employment opportunities in the building of the Wataynikaneyap Power Line Project and Power Sector. The program included training in OHSA Worker Awareness, Chainsaw Safe Handling and Maintenance, SP102 Forest Fire Fighting, Standard First Aid, Working at Heights, and Forestry Heavy Equipment Operation in a harvesting environment.
